Sitters: the social moment!

Other people, as we know from Sartre, are Hell. But they are not solely hell, they are, in transactional terms, different . . . . from ourselves and from each other. The Hell that emanates from another’s presence is a consequence of those differences.

The social moment occurs at a juncture in time when one is confronted by a condition of personal versus private space. Look at any circumstance in which there is more than one person in a setting. You will notice a ‘situation’ developed due to the proximity of disparate personalities. They have become “Sitters.”
