DuSable Park: An archeology

DuSable Park is a 3 acre plot of land that lies adjacent to the Chicago River in Chicago, Illinois. It was formed in the first half of the 19th century because of an alteration in the river flow after the construction of a light house. Since that time there has been conflict over the appropriate use of the land. This proposal is in response to a call for solutions by A. Laurie Palmer for June, 2001. The following 10 plates present a visual/verbal proposal, an archeology, that introduces history as a mediating factor in arriving at planning solutions.
